How are these Immersive Stories?

This project aims to create an archive for short stories from El Salvador. These stories will serve as an introduction to language and culture. Finding authentic material that talks about the Spanish-Speaking Culture in broader ways can be difficult. There are incentives that stories can provide. The project is being created to teach Spanish Intermediate I students, but there is room for adapting it to your own classroom. There are activities that use this authentic material ranging from vocabulary, culture, grammar and discussion.

The selection of short stories will come as of now from two contemporanean Salvadoran writers. The writers chosen are Claudia Hernández and Jacinta Escudos.

There is a need for an archive of authentic material that can be used to teach students; more specifically, an archive that can expand on the diversity of the Spanish-Speaking culture.
